Generally, this information (see, Information We Store) is requested when you are asking for further information about a product or service, purchasing a Fly Software product or service or using a Fly Software product. Some of the information you provide is stored remotely within the Fly software database and used for the following purposes:

  • To license and activate certain software products and to enable them to perform certain operations.
  • To deliver newsletters and provide notice about events (but only if you are subscribed to receive this).
  • To alert you to product changes, special offers, updated information and other new products and services from Fly Software.
  • To enable us to process any online payment.
  • To help us create and publish relevant content.

Control of Your Personal Information

When you provide us with personal information, Fly Software will never share that information with third parties. However, if you purchase/register a product or service online, certain information will be transmitted to Paypal who process our online transactions. Paypal will never share personal or sensitive information with any third party.

All personal information that you provide will only be used for the purposes stated above.

Security of Your Personal Information

Fly Software are committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide on computers with limited access that are located in controlled facilities.

Handling of Your Financial Information

All purchases made on our websites are processed by PayPal or you are provided with instructions to pay by bank transfer. None of the financial information such as card number, password, CSC number, etc you specify during the payment process is seen or stored by Fly Software Limited. PayPal and debit/credit card financial information is processed and stored by PayPal. Bank transfer financial information is processed and stored by our bank - HSBC.

When you sign up for a Fly Software account, the following required and optional information is stored remotely in the Fly Software database:

  • Password (encrypted so not even Fly Software know what it is)

  • VAT registration number

  • Telephone and mobile

Contact Form

When you submit a contact form, the following information is stored remotely in the Fly Software database:

  • First name and last name
  • Email
  • Telephone or mobile
  • Message

Subscribe to Fly Software News

When you subscribe to Fly Software news, the following information is stored remotely in the Fly Software database:

  • Email

Easy MTD VAT

During the operation of Easy MTD VAT, the following information is stored locally on your PC/laptop and remotely in the Fly Software database:

Locally

Stored by default in C:\ProgramData\Easy MTD VAT\Clients.dat and C:\ProgramData\Easy MTD VAT\Agents.dat

  • Reference of each client (searchref)
  • VAT registration number of each client (vrn)
  • Additional information of each client (additionalinfo)
  • Agent reference of each client (agentRef)
  • Access token (accessToken)
  • Refresh token (refreshToken)
  • Submission receipt data (see below) (prior to release 1.1.1.10)

Remotely

  • Reference of each client
  • VAT registration number of each client (release 2.0.1.0 onwards)
  • Submission receipt data (release 1.1.1.10 onwards):
    • Receipt ID
    • Receipt timestamp
    • Processing date
    • Payment indicator
    • Form bundle number
    • Charge reference number
  • Easy MTD VAT version being used (release 2.0.1.0 onwards)
